E.L.F Haul.

Today I'm writing about my E.L.F delivery! I ordered my items last week as E.L.F had a 50% off and I mean, if you love make up and you see a 50% sale, how can you not?

Anyway I didn't buy too many items (trying to save lol next joke) but yes I bought 17 items! I haven't used any yet, so no reviews just telling you! :-) I will write a review post if wanted!

So here's a list of what I've bought!
Kabuki face brush.
Small angled brush.
Defining eye brush.
Angled foundation brush.
Blending eye brush.
Small stipple brush.
Brightening eye-liner || Coffee.
Mineral eye brightener.
Contouring Blush and Bronzing powder || Turks and Caicos.
Under eye concealer and Highlighter || Glow/Fair.
Studio matte lip colour || Nearly nude.
Lipstick || Fearless.
48pc Little Black Beauty Book || Warm edition.
Blush || Twinkled pink.
Radiance Enhancer || Spotlight.
Long wear lip liner || Natural Blush.

This all came to£29.65 which I think is really good to say how many items I got.
I was gutted that the Under eye setting powder was out of stock but hey, what can you do *sobs*
I haven't tried any of these items before, infact I've never even tried E.L.F products. This will either be a really beautigul thing or a really annoying thing.... Whichever way I will tell you how much I like it all! :-)

Occasion Make-up!

Hey guys, today I'm going to write about a make-up look which I absolutely LOVE and is perfect for an occasion such as a birthday or clubbing etc!

Sorry for the awkward pose...
Okay so I started off by priming my skin with Rimmel Match Perfection Fix and Perfect Primer, just to prepare my skin for foundation! I believe this is a good primer but if I'm honest I haven't really tried many!

Secondly I use my Bourjois Happy Light foundation in Rose Vanilla, I am loving this foundation! I haven't ever really got on with Bourjois foundation's previously, but this one is literally perfect for me. It has great lasting coverage and on occasions look just like my mac foundation!

I then conceal under my eyes with Collection Lasting Perfection concealer in fair. This is one of my favourite products ever and I will be re-purchasing til the day I die! (sorry for the happy comment there)

I powdered with my N07 Creme Touch powder in Translucent to set my foundation and take the shine away!

Next, I drew my eyebrow's into shape with Maybelline Shape Brow in soft brown and then filled them in with my MUA Pro-Brow kit.

I then put MUA eyeshadow in shy all over my eye and in the inner corner. With a mix of obsessed and tranquil in the corner to add definition and to make the look more smokey!
I lined my eye with my Maybelline gel eyeliner which I looooove! Then use my Max Factor Masterpiece max Mascara which really does make my eyelashes look nice. I did use fake eyelashes which I got from Tenerife so I'm unsure what make they are!

I used my Collection Shimmering Glow bronzer in  Sunkissed to add definition to my face, by using this on my cheek bone.

And finally on my lip I used my new Revlon Colourburst Matte Lip pen in 205 which is a gorgeouuuuuuus colour especially with No7 BB Balm in Blush Coral over the top to add a shine!

Hope you guys liked this, let us know!

Real techniques // review

Hey guys! I feel like I haven't posted in ages. Today, I decided to write about my new favourite thing, my 'real techniques expert face brush'.

I am not going to lie, I have never been a brush person (I tend to just use my fingers) but so many people are raving about these brushes, I had to give one a go. I got myself the foundation brush from Boots for £9.99 which I didn't think was too bad considering the fact I also collect my points.
The brush itself is really firm and broad making it perfect for applying liquid foundation. It takes a little longer to apply than just using your fingers but the results are so much better. I use a sort of 'buffing' technique which gives a really good finish. The over all look created is a lot more natural and even. My only negative would be the fact I seem to have to use more foundation now I am using them. It isn't considerably more (2 big pumps instead on my usual 1).

It is a really good quality brush and none of the bristle have fallen out on me which most brushes do! I will definitely be getting myself some different sorts of these brushes. I know they do a really good set in boots (I think it is £21.99 but don't hold me to that haha) so I might treat myself!!

It is important with brushes that you make sure you wash the regularly. My friend suggested just using a baby shampoo and leaving them to dry which I think I will give a go in a week or so. If you have any real technique brushes, let us know! @scoshgirls

Also, exciting life news (well, exciting for me haha :p) I have applied to some more agencies and production companies today and, hopefully, I will get a reply soon! We will also soon be review some products from The Argan Company who have been kind enough to send us some of their products which is really exciting news :)

Hope the new year is treating you well!!

Products I would like to try this year!

'Urban decay Naked Palette'
I have read so many amazing reviews on the newest urban decay palette and they look amazing! I am a sucker for browns and golden shades which both 2 and 3 have. I think I will have to save my Christmas money and get one of these.

'Nars blusher (orgasm)'
This colour blusher is so lovely. It is more orangey than Nars 'pink swoon' so is more of a natural colour yet with tones of gold. I like my blushers to be shimmery rather than matt and I have heard great things about this product!

'MAC studio finish foundation'
As much as I love my high street Rimmel foundation for sixth form and everyday wear,  when I went round to Abbie's she introduced me to this and I love it! I don't have loads of MAC products but this foundation has great coverage and has been recommended to me by so many people so I think I will give it a go.

'MAC lipsticks'
One of my best friends and fellow beauty blogger, Jess, recommended these to me. She has herself a rather sizeable collection and the colours are all so lovely. They are creamy and go on really well! My next lipstick will definitely be one of these. I like darker colours like pinks and reds so if you guys have any suggestions of which ones would be good for me, let me know! :D

'Benefit brow zings'
I am nearly out of my Smashbox eye brow kit and, although I love it, I have wanted to try this product for ages. I think it is such a cute little kit and comes with handy tweezers which you can carry round in the kit!

What products do you want to try this year?

Guest post // this and that beauty tag!

Hey guys! This is a guest post from the lovely serena! Make sure you check out her blog at serenatalks.blogspot.com this is the this and that tag! We hope you enjoy it :)

Makeup

Blush or bronzer?
Bronzer, my cheeks are always pink and when I say always I mean always!

Lip gloss or lipstick?
Lipstick, I love love love lipstick and I'm a bit of a hoarder when it comes to it!

Eye liner or mascara?
Mascara, a eye look wouldn't look complete without it!

Foundation or concealer?
This ones a toughie, foundation always makes my skin look even and will make the rest of the face makeup look normal & stay in place. But then concealer covers under eye circles and blemishes, I think I''ll stick with foundation!
Neutral or color eye shadow?
Another toughie, I love wearing colours such as dark navy, olive green and burgundy, yet I love doing really smokey bronzed looks but I'll have to go with colours (subtle ones though!)
Pressed or loose eye shadows?
Pressed, It's much more easier and less of a mess!

Brushes or sponges?
Brushes, its easy to blend shadows and apply product.

Nails

OPI or china glaze?
OPI, all of my nail polishes are OPI and China Glaze except the few Barry M, Revlon and Rimmel. OPI's colour range is incredible, their staying power is amazing and they apply so well.
Long or short?
Long, my nails grow so fast its crazy but being a beauty student we have to have short nails for practical purposes, sad face :(
Acrylic or natural?
Natural, like I said above my nails are long naturally and they are one (of many many few) quality's of myself that I actually like.
Brights or darks?
Darks, I love Russian Navy by OPI and Mrs O'Learys BBQ!
Flower or no flower?
No flower, but I wont say no to an accent nail!

Christmas Haul!!

Is finally here guys! Merry Christmas, I hope you all have a lovely day :) today I am going to do the obvious Christmas haul of all my lovely presents!

You all know my love for soap and glory and I can't wait to try out these two products! I have heard great things about both :)

Benefit is my favourite brand and so Mum got me a really cute 'how to look the best..' Kit! Also the porefessional primer which I blogged about recently. It is amazing!!

I turned 17 in October but have been really scared to learn how to drive. Mum and my stepdad have got me the theory revision pack and 10 driving lessons, eek. Wish me luck guys haha :p

These were the first three presents I opened, all about history haha! I love black adder and as you know by now anything war of the roses is fab! I know what I am making the whole family watch tonight :p

I got a lovely dangley, pink pandora charm to go with my pink and silver theme! I was looking at the one just the other week so Santa has done very well with this!

Look at my lovely wintery gloves and night shirt! They match my Christmas jumper which is super cute!!

This kit is amazing!! Champneys is such a good brand and I can't wait to try out the manicure kit! I am thinking I have many girly nights ahead of me :p

Once I have manicured my nails, I have got some gorgeous colours to paint them with! I have never tried this brand of nail polish before but the colours look lovely. It has darker ones for the festive season and then bright, light colours for when the weather gets a bit better! This brush sent it lovely as well, it is French connection and they are super soft! I think it is a hint from Mum to stop taking hers haha!

After reading all the amazing reviews I finally have one of these!! The products are so good and smell amazing! Also, I really like the bag this year, it has a really pretty design and I. Ant wait to review these products!

Finally, last but certainly not least, is this Estée Lauder make up kit! I have had my eye on this for ages and it is full of everything you need! The bigger palette is full of eye shadows in aside range of colours and, from what I have tried out, they have amazing pigments! It also contains the best mascara in the world!! Can't wait to try all of these products!

Thank you for reading this, as you can see I have been a very lucky girl!! I hope you are all having a lovely Christmas and for our readers who don't celebrate Christmas, I hope you enjoyed looking at some of these amazing beauty products! Look forward to weeks of reviews now haha :p send us pictures of your Christmas presents on twitter @scoshgirls

Christmas Day #23!

Hey guys, today I'm going to do a make-up post on best christmas make-up products from Max Factor - The reason I'm doing Max Factor is because personally I find this a great brand with affordable prices and I know it's a pretty popular brand.

Foundation
Face finity all day flawless 3 in 1 Foundation which is a great coverage foundation and also contains a primer which cuts out a couple of minutes of your daily routine.

Concealer
Face panstick which is a brilliant concealer foundation stick, this is great coverage to cover up any shininess or any blemishes.

Eyeshadow
Wild shadow pot - Pale Pebble, which is a lovely skin tone colour to spread all over the lid.
Wild shadow pot - Burnt Bark, which is a brown which I'd use in the corner to make the look more intense.

Eyeliner
Masterpeice glide & define liquid eyeliner to create a catflick which makes the look very classy and feline.

Lipstick
Colour elixr lipstick - Ruby tuesday which is a lovely red colour to make the look even classier and bright for christmas day.

Blusher
Flawless perfection blusher - Classic Rose, to put a lovely warm colour on the cheeks on a cold winter day!

Christmas Day make up!

In our household the whole family come round on Christmas Day, this includes people I haven't seen since last Christmas and attractive family friends that I haven't seen since they were 5 years old and i was running around their garden in a pair of pants from ASDA, therefore... Although I don't like to wear Loads of make up, I like to put on a little bit!

1)

I put a bit of fake up on under my eyes and on any blemishes! This is my favourite product ever!!

2) next, I use Rimmel match perfection in shade 100. This is the perfect foundation for me! It has medium coverage but feels really light on my skin and is my exact shade. I would definitely recommend this foundation :)

3)

My trusty Smashbox eye brow kit is brilliant!! As you can see this one is old but I still have plenty left. They come in really natural looking colours and with a really good setting wax that you put on over the top. It is so easy to do and has my eye brows looking top notch in minutes!

4)

Then I use nude swings from benefit! This colour is such a wearable shade and is really natural and lovely :) this is my every day eye shadow because it goes with everything and doesn't take any skill to apply when I am in a rush in a morning haha!

5) I then use one of my favourite mascaras...

This has a really natural look and doesn't go clumpy! If you prefer a more fuller lash look I would not recommend this one but I like my lashes to look quite natural :) after putting it on I then use Boots eye lash curler to add some volume and curl!

Then walahhh! I am done! This makes a really quick Christmas Day look but still looks like you have made more effort than you have! I would usually add to this a contouring kit and eye liner but when turkey and presents are awaiting me I don't have the time :p anyway, this is the finished look...

Here I have also used Maybellines super stay 10 hour lip gloss in endless ruby to match my jumper! With it being a stain I don't have to be applying it all day which is great! It doesn't last the claimed 10hours but it is still pretty good and the colours are really vibrant! Unlike most red lip colours is does not dry your lips out either which is great over the winter months!

Sorry for the awkward selfish guys, sort of half way between a pout and a smile haha.. Not sure what I was doing :p

TAG beauty talk!

My friend Jess has started a tag with a few questions on beauty and stuff so I thought I would give it a go :) make sure you give her a follow:

What products have stood out for you this year?
Um.. I think for me this has been the year of the primer! Like you will know if you read my last post I never used it before but now I wouldn't be without it! At the minute I am using Laura Geller's Spackle which I love. It make my skin so much smoother providing great base for my foundation :D

What make up product would you recommend for young girls or people who are just starting to get into beauty?
I would say get yourself a good foundation. I wear Rimmel match perfection which I love. It has brilliant coverage and literally is my match perfection! It is greater if you are younger or new to make up because it is a cheaper high street brand that I think it even better than some really expensive brands :) definitely give it a go!

Favourite high street and high end beauty brand?
Erm.. Probably Rimmels for high street but I am not sure about my favourite high end as I like so many. I wear lots of Benefit make up but I think they can be really touch and go. I would have to go with MAC or Estée Lauder!

Most disappoint product you have tried...
Benetint probably. I only got a sample of this product but I found it really hard to apply evenly and it made my skin really sore and spotty! :/

A beauty item you use every day...
Benefits Fake up! I have the worst dark circles and this product has been my knight in shiny packaging. I absolutely love it :) it is not heavy under my eyes and leaves me looking so much more awake. It is really easy to apply as well!

What are your essentials for winter?
Ooh erm, a good red lipgloss is an absolute must for me! I also like to get myself a pair of false lashes from Illamasqua for parties. I have blue eyes so I like to wear golden eye shadows so I have to make sure I am stocked up over winter (MAC bare study is really nice). I love winter cos I make so much more of an effort with make up and you can make yourself look so festive! :D

What is your favourite product for a dramatic party look?
I like Maybellines black gel eye line because it is so was to apply! It is in my every day bag but over Christmas I tend to wear more of it and experiment with different looks. Dark coloured lips are always a must for dramatic effect and, if you don't over do it, glitter eye liners can look really nice :)

What's on your Christmas wish list (beauty wise)?
I have asked for MAC stuff in general and also I love Estée Lauder mascara so hopefully Santa will bring me on of those :) Benefit are doing really cute Christmas box sets which have some good products in so that would be nice as well :D

Thank you for reading guys! If you want to do this make sure you tag #TAGbeautytalk on Instagram or twitter with a link!! And check out Jess's beauty blog for more inspiration and tips!

My favourite primers!

KThis week I have been asked to review primers! Now, I have a confession to make, I never usually used a primer but after this week I will never not use one again, you would not believe how much better they make your skin look! I am quite lucky and don't have terrible skin but I do get pores around my nose which my foundation always goes into which makes them even clearer. When I used these primers you could hardly see them and my make up went on so much nicer and lasted long!

My top 2 were....

Benefits 'Porefessional' which is £24.50. It was such a good product for getting rid of pores. Even without putting my make up on my skin looked so much nicer and more even and then when I did out my make up on it stayed on reasonably well! Usually it crinkles around my nose but when I used this it minimised that slightly. I have to agree with some of the reviews that say this product is expensive because it certainly is but I can't deny that it worked for me. It also comes in a really cute rotor looking packaging just like many of the Benefit products! It also seems to be lasting a while but I only use it on my problem areas :) if you don't want to splash out maybe try and get a sample or ask one of the benebabes to try it out on you and see what you think!

I'm afraid my other favourite was another expensive one, Laura Geller's Spackle which I got from QVC for £18 but you can find this all over the Internet. This product felt really nice on my skin and, again, a little goes a long way so it lasts quite a while. It made my make up stay on really well and created a really lovely base for it so it went on so smoothly!

If you are looking for a cheaper alternative, No7 from Boots do a really nice one! I tried lots of different brands that I really liked for example Smashbox and mally which both also worked really well! I am also going to get my hands on some eye primers as well now (I am becoming addicted haha) so I will let you know which I like from those! Let me know if you guys have any primers you love and hate!

My day!

After looking at our poll it seems you guys want to see more about what we do day-to-day. I don't usually have very exciting days when I am at school but I thought I would tell you about today :)

I got up fairly early this morning and decided to wear my Christmasy jumper for the first time cos I was feeling really festive!! When I say this I mean I was absolutely shattered and needed something I could quickly through on and still look remotely presentable (I am by no means a morning person) :p It is huge and so so warm. When I got to the bus station I was really early so I went for a Costa. If you haven't tried it already you have to try the honeycomb and cream hot chocolate, it is so so yummy! Anyway, after that I caught my bus and went to sixth form, which is about 40mins away. When I got there my first lesson was English and we are doing a pal called Accrington Pals where I am reading the lead female role, May! It was really interested and is such a good play to look at if you are interested in literature.

At lunch time I have this really nice sushi meal deal from Morrison's actually. It is only £2 and really good :) if you have never had sushi try this as it is cheap and not too exotic :p I then went to see the Christmas buskers we have around school and saw the amazing Lizzie Goddard! If you haven't heard her stuff you need to have a listen, she is incredibly talented. You can find her stuff on YouTube and she also has a Facebook and twitter account! I also brought myself a candy cane which felt awfully Christmasy! :D

On the bus on the way home we were all telling embarrassing stories about our childhood. One guy was telling us about the time he ran into the wrong holiday home to find a family of strangers sat down to there meal. It was hilarious and such a lovely end to the day. I think my most embarrassing moment would have to be when a friend on mine took my clothes whilst in a changing room in London, it was absolutely packed and I had to leave the changing room and wait in one of their back rooms in little more than my underwear! Absolute disaster :p

I then after all that had to go back for parents evening... Brill! It didn't go too badly actually and I am all on teach for getting the grades I need to go to London for English and Drama which is the main thing. I have been told I have to put about 16 hours work in extra a week which is a lot but should be worth it (don't worry, I will still have time to chat to you guys).

And that was pretty much my day. Abbie and I are planning a trip to go indoor skiing over Christmas which should be really fun!

Today's outfit of the day was:
Red Christmas jumper: Next
Black trousers: Next
Smart black boots: New Look

I had my hair in curls which I do with GHD straighteners and for my make up I used 'Fake up' from Benefit, match perfection foundation, golden eye shadows from Front cover (you can order this online), sleek contouring palette, bobby brown liquid eye liner, they're real benefit mascara and Maybelline super stay 10 hour lipgloss in the shade endless ruby (I am a sucker for red lips).

Hope you guys have all had a good day!

Happy 1st December!

Getting excited for Christmas now!! Opened my advent Calendar this morning and got all the decorations out of the loft which is so exciting. It is now socially acceptable for me to play Christmas songs in public too which is great news :p Scosh girls have decided that we are going to post a festive treat each day where we will review make up, post recipes ect.

Today your festive treat is....

It's Potent Benefit eye cream!

I was sceptical about this product at first as I have had lots of eye creams that have ha no effect at all on my dark circles (I get really bad dark circles) and it was quite expensive but I have to say this one is really good!! My dark circles have no gone completely but it has made them so much better and makes me look more awake and bright eyed :) it also comes in really cute packaging and is part of a collection so makes for a great gift for someone! I haven't tried other items in the collection but if you have let us know what you think! :D

I hope you have all had a lovely first of December. We would love to see your decorations and know what you got in your advent this morning on twitter @scoshgirls
Remember to give us a follow.

Thanks guys!!

Lip plumper, the best and worst!

You can spend a fortune on getting a good lip plumping gloss but so many of them don't work or have a horrible texture. I have tried a few and so I thought I would do a few of my least favourites and ones I love! These are just my opinions and some of my friends completely disagreed. If you have any opinions give us a tweet @scoshgirls

My least favourites include:
Victoria's Secret very voluptuous. I found this product thick and sticky and it had more of a painful burn for me! It is also quite expensive (my friend would kill me for saying this haha)
I am also not a huge fan of benefit lip plump. I am usually a massive fan of their products and I love love love their fake up but this is not for me. For me, it was more priming than plumping and it was very messy and dried my lips out!

On the other hand, I really like Smashbox o-plump intuitive lip gloss! I found this one was quite moisturising and had a nice tingling feeling rather than a pain. It is quite costly but I quite liked this product. I also like soap and glory sexy mother pucker gloss stick. Unlike the other gloss they do it is not sticky and is really easy to put on! They have a really nice colour as well and are not too costly so make for great Christmas gifts. They look similar to the most expensive chubby sticks :)
